Gregory N. Koontz, DDS

Dr. Koontz was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, & moved to Henrico County east of Richmond. He graduated from Varina High School in 1979. After four years at Virginia Tech, he graduated with a Bachelor of Surgery degree in animal science in 1983. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU-MCV in 1987.

He moved to Franklin immediately after graduation & began a practice with Drs Edwards, Dodson, Falls & Thornton. He became a partner in this practice the following year and is currently working with Dr. Harry Spalding at their office now located on Armory Drive.

Dr. Koontz is an avid outdoorsman, pilot, farmer, bowyer & craftsman. He has traveled the world in pursuit of his outdoor passions from Alaska, Canada & the Rocky mountains to New Zealand & South Africa. He specializes in all aspects of general dentistry including complex surgery, restorative, crown & bridge, implants, endodontics & prosthetics.
